About the position

Novelia currently operates two HVB homes for children and youth located in Vikmanshyttan called Hyttan and Viken. We are now looking for staff for summer temporary positions for both units!

We have 9 places per residence and we conduct both investigations, care, and treatment for girls aged 13–17 who exhibit attachment issues, neuropsychiatric behavioral problems, self-destructive behavior, social behavior and interaction deficits, who have been in unsuitable environments, who have committed minor offenses, who have tried drugs, who exhibit threatening behavior and get into conflict with others. The girls may have significant school absenteeism and also have difficulties with social interactions and social skills.

The approach of the operation aims to create a safe, pleasant, and predictable environment for the enrolled youth in the HVB homes. The milieu therapeutic work focuses on involving the youth and making them participants in creating functioning routines in everyday life and in their treatment. We individualize treatment as much as possible and have access to qualified specialist competence in the social and psychiatric fields.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or nursing assistant with a focus on psychiatry. It is an advantage if you have university credits in CBT, MI, ACRA, neuropsychiatric disabilities, or pedagogy.

You have experience working in care and/or social work. You also have experience working with children and youth and can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. Previous work in HVB with clients who exhibit outwardly aggressive behavior is highly meritorious.

The position involves treatment interventions through conversations, activities, structured daily routines, and basic care for the children living in our facilities. You are responsible for building relationships with both the child and important people in their network.

The position also includes regular household and cleaning tasks that occur in a residence.

Collective agreement, benefits & compensation

All companies in the Novelia Group are members of Almega/Care Companies and have collective agreements according to Industry E; for this role, the collective agreement between Almega/Care Companies and Vision applies.

Novelia offers a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK per full year worked.

Salary setting is differentiated and individual according to agreement.
